This video was developed as a part of coursework titled Relavant Practice in the program of Master of Human Settlements in KU LeuvenBelgium.

This is an  animated time-laps used as an investigation tool for research as a part of Relevant Practice course.T he title is " Micro use of open connecting corridors inside and outside of social housing Investigating through an animated time-lapse". The study area is in Brussels Peterbos Social Housing Two specific places (shown in key plan), termed as “corridors” were selected for further to the across the site in North-South (N-S) and East-West (E-W) direction. Time lapse has been chosen as a tool to record the activities and the movement patterns of people from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm on Saturday, 5th November 2016. The quantitative technique includes counting the number of people and the types of activities they are involved in. The first reference used for this analysis was “Street Vendors’ Initiative” from Cluster Cairo. The documentation of the street vendors’ use of the shown by a time lapse that was recorded throughout an entire day. This has been adapted to investigate the corridors. To further enhance the qualitative information of the time lapse, a layer with sketches of different elements have been overlaid with the time lapse. The second reference used “ Sidewalk City: Remapping Public space in Ho Chi Minh City”. This reference was used to illustrate how to map the information that was extracted from the time lapse. We followed the method in the reference mentioned above to show the different activities at different times through a sequence of photographs from the time lapse. Since the movements and activities of people appear after long intervals, it was appropriate to choose time lapse as a tool to show all the users and the activities as it allows capturing the continuous movement throughout the investigation period.
